অনেকেই আগে চিন্তা করে নেয় যে ব্রিটিশ অথবা আমেরিকান যে কোনো একটা উচ্চারণ ফলো করবে। তবে এটা চিন্তা করে নেয়ার আগে আমাদের উচিৎ ইংরেজী প্রতিটা শব্দের উচ্চারণ সঠিক ভাবে জানা।প্রথমে শুদ্ধভাবে উচ্চারণ করা জানতে হবে এরপরে আপনি ব্রিটিশ অথবা আমেরিকান যে কোনো স্ট্যান্ডার্ড ফলো করুন সেটা আপনার ইচ্ছা।
